Not having much interest for foreign series (as I had wrong impressions about the westerners)...when I was forced by friends and cousins to see it at-least once...little did I  know that this sitcom would become my life...my hobby...my stress-buster...!!

F.R.I.E.N.D.S. 

watch it once,watch it twice..watch it nth number of times,it will tickle you and make you emotional every time you watch it.

Here are some of the things which this amazing show taught me...

1. Don't be AFRAID,take that STEP!!

Rachel Green,the young rich spoilt brat,who ran away from her own wedding,although betrothed to the rich dentist.The fact that she was not in love with him,scared her.Now thats a big step.Even though showered with gifts,the pamper and money from her rich dad,taking this step was really brave!!

And bravo as soon as she stepped out of her comfort zone and started living by her own in this scary new world Rachel never gave up,and yes she did become an independent woman.

Its really important to come out of that comfort zone,to know your fears.Listen to your heart and work towards it.Life is too short to crib and cry. Don,t be scared,take that step!!

2. MOO point!!

Remember Joey's MOO POINT?!!
Yes sometimes we take life a little too seriously..we are in constant fear what others will think be it our career...,our relationship,..our freedom...for all we should remember is the others opinion is just a moo point,You know its like a cow's opinion..it just doesn't matter it just moo...

3.We all have a GUNTHER in our life!!

We all know Gunther had a crush on Rachel,or you can say that he had consistent love for her.I do believe that we all have Gunther in our life,who secretly admires us or is in love with us,you just have to look around.Sometimes we are too busy  to notice Gunther of our life!

4.Marrying your best friend is awesome!!

And as the saying goes,the best relationship blossoms from friendship!!Chandler & Monica were my favorite couple on the show..they showed us  the perks of marrying your best friend..

-they knew when and how to make each other laugh..

-they supported each other's dream..

-they showed us that you dont need to change yourself for each other..
-their relationship was fun..
-they were a team..

-they proved nothing is more beautiful then to have your bestie beside you during your rough times..
-they had respect for each other...

-they made us believe in magic..

-they proved relationships are worth it..even if its not easy..

and last but not the least...they showed us if u marry the right person..eventually everything will fall into place!!

5.A boy and a girl can be BEST FRIENDS FOREVER!!

And then who said that all best friends ends up getting married to each other??
Joey and Phoebe,they were my favorite pair of friends.They shared the best chemistry,and a very special bond,they always had each other's back.The relationship which I would called true friendship.Many people will confuse this as LOVE,I would say yes they loved each other,but not in that sense.Some of us also wanted them to end up together..but naah!! some relationships are best as it is,,,not all friends are meant to be together..

6.The BROMANTIC bond!!

Every Joey needs Chandler,and every Chandler needs Joey..I guess this bromance was enjoyed by all.
Well according to me only Chandler had the ability to tolerate Joey's stupidity..hehehe!!

They knew how to have fun,,,

they also had their disagreements...

but well no matter what they were always there for each other..

10.Be yourself!!

In the beginning I found phoebe very weird...but slowly I realized that she was indeed the one who was comfortable in her own skin.She was honest,,straightforward and unknowingly she gave us much to learn from her..

11.Relationships are more important then your dream!!

I never really understood the relationship between Ross and Rachel,So I wont be talking about it much,But I was really overwhelmed when Rachel decided to get off the plane!!
Yes some relationships are indeed important then anything else.Well I really wonder if Ross and Rachel lived happily ever after..or did they go on yet another break!!

12.Friends are forever!!

And last but not the least,great friends are forever!! No matter what happens they will always be there for you!!

And to my cute stupid friends out there..
.I'LL BE THERE FOR YOU...CAUSE YOU'RE THERE FOR ME TOO!!

Zindagi Gulzar Hai!!

Newspapers...Radio..Internet Articles...all I read or heard here was about the new channel Zindagi launched by zee tv....and with that it had all the reason why one should watch one of its series Zindagi Gulzar Hai!!

Ok..so what was the hype all about??...

Does the idiot box really have something good to show on it??

This curiosity led me directly to YouTube to watch its 1st episode...and I must tell you I ended up watching the entire series in just a week.

So here are some of my reason of why one shouldn't miss series like Zindagi Gulzar Hai!! (Life is a Rose Garden)..

1-Fawad Khan-Ok I must confess the one reason I was glued to this series was Mr.Fawad Khan who   played the male lead as Zaarun Junaid.One cannot miss his charm and mesmerizing eyes.His charismatic personality will want you to be that girl on screen.You will be cleaned  bowled by his voice or when he will give that one look.Though it was hard to digest that though being a hypocrite and a male chauvinist Zaroon was able to win the heart of his love who herself  was a total feminist.But then ofcourse who wouldn't want the hot Fawad  next to her. #wink #wink

2-The Story-It had Story..it was not something that was just dragged to reach its maha episode..neither it was some exaggerated saas-bahu  soap opera from which we are literally bored or lets just say fed up.Everything was in place nothing was more and nothing was less,the female lead who played the role of a lower middle class didn't lived in fully furnished 3bhk flat neither the male lead who was from rich high class made 1000 crores deal,it was close to reality                                                                                        every bit was easily related and very well acceptable.

3-The Diary Writing-The main leads Zaarun (Fawad Khan)and Kashaf (Sanam Saeed) had this habit of writing their diary,the one of the best aspect of the series.The diary writing with vocal background of Zaarun and Kashaf voice will take you to the crucial part of your life too..including Friendship,Anger,Jelousy,Trust,Love and everyday problems of lifeI really wished if they would have read each others diaries..maybe they would have fallen in love with each other even more after that...

4-The Love-Yes,opposite attracts but this was not yet another conventional love story.Zaarun a big time flirt,playful and happy go lucky guy while Kashaf a mature,independent and serious girl.It didn't had the girl falling head over heels on the guy's looks or on his attitude,neither the guy going mad over the girl's beauty,you will love the subtle way of expressing love and gradual way of falling in love which happens in reality!!

5-The Romance-This show didn't had a single intimate scene not even a hug,yet it was one of the most romantic series I have seen,shall give the loud applause to the director and the actors who convinced us so well with their performances.

Am sure there will be many more reasons to catch up this series,but I am glad that this series was like a refreshment after tiring channel surfing on tv to find something good to watch..If series like this is made the idiot box will get back its charm which have got lost during these years, 

                       

Kids or Little Rockstars!!!!

Last week while surfing channels on television I came across Junior Master chef Australia...And trust me at least I couldn't believe my eyes that those stunning looking dishes were actually made by those cute lil chefs....they were so so so good.....

I used to watch Masterchef Australia and India on regular basis but this junior one is something hatke  I am totally addicted to it I have not missed any of its episode till now....those lil star and their cooked stuff with fine presentation , techniques and not forgetting their confidence..... not only keeps u glued to the television set but it also makes you wonder that how kids now-a-days actually know what's their aim in life...

Talking about kids well these days they are  far ahead then their age...even when i watch DID Lil Masters i wonder how these kids are able to give perfect expressions and quick answers....

Even in my neighborhood kids are no less, they know how to play guitar...they listen to music on their I-pods...some of them actually ride bikes!!My mom ,a teacher by profession always tell me how 

kids are not only smart these days but they are also innocent at the same time....!!! I myself sometime spent time with kids who comes for tutions at our home... there's a cute lil chirpy girl called Divya who actually knows how to whistle she is just 3.....then there is a kid who can actually dance with hula loop....

Then there is my friends son who is just 4 who wants to become rockstar like ranbir kapoor when he grows up...he actually know all the songs from the movie and not only that he has even grown his hair long to look like him...and he calls himself Jordan..haha he is cute lil rockstar for us though :)

Spending times with these kids makes you realize how things have changed....life has become fast and there is tough competitions even between  kids...but yes the innocence is still there these kids bring lots of positiveness in you.,you even learn from them sometime.....spending time with them or watching them is really worth your quality time!!

Its all about Facebook!!!

"Life was much easier when apple and blackberry were just fruits" ..... yes indeed life was much easier... but "Life was much beautiful when we met people face to face ...then on Facebook".

Yes Facebook...the much crucial part of our life now-a-days..be it status updates....poking your friends...visiting your crush's profile...taunting each other...or clicking those like buttons....cant even imagine a day without Facebook!!!

I love Facebook because it has made me reunite with my old buddies....but I also hate it as I am addicted to it and  it unconditionally helps me to waste my time :o  I have experience a lot on fb....I remember once updating my status and one of my ex-friend thinking its about her....well later we got into a war a really big war...I am thankful to that incident as I came to know true colors of people through it and life became much lighter and perfect...as I really dont need people in my life who dont accept me as I am...:p.

Earlier me and my buddies bid farewell to each other by saying "phir kal milte hai" today the sentence has been converted to "aaj raat ko fb pe milte hai"...lol....I remember how my mom used to hate fb...untill.... yesterday she confessed that she too wants an account on it...(no no no plzz no)....so now fb is going to be a family affair in my house..???? .....with status update "hey mom what about pizza party tomorrow ;)"  or lets say "hey mom,there's a pyjama party at friends place...wont be arriving home at night"  and mom commenting on it "where's the unlike button".....Oh god it will be so funny....I hope this never happens.... ;) ;)

So I have decided I will be deleting my fb account and then ultimately no time waste,no mom on my friends list and no pending work.......(hehehehhee just kidding...I wont do that ever)....I love wasting my time or letz just say I love Facebook :)

Before I leave this one is too good to read...

A few days ago my friend was discussing about her fb friends.....(imagine fb was the topic at our night out) she  told me that she even has a fb brother....(did I hear that correct???)...yes she has a fb brother...:) :) now that was something really new for me...I have rakhi brothers but fb brother??? she had even sent him rakhi on fb....I think the day is not far when we will have fb crush..fb enemy...fb girlfriend/boyfriend  lolzz.....

That girl in yellow boots..!!!

So this week it was fight between Mr.lovely singh and Ms.Ruth....or you can say it was Salman v/s Kalki!!! Yes this festival weekend we had two releases Bodyguard & That girl in yellow boots....and with no doubt in my mind I headed to movie hall to watch the latter.....And yes I was not wrong in choosing between THE KHAN and not so THE KEOCHLIN!!

That girl in yellow boots is definitely a movie made for the niche audiences....with perfect direction and awesome performance by Kalki (I think she is one of the finest actress we have now)...the film is written by Kalki herself with her director husband Anurag Kashyap..
the story revolves around Ruth (Kalki)...who is a  young British girl in Mumbai and is in search of her father...a man she hardly knew!! Its a story of survival,addiction and facing the reality...
Kalki does it once again be it her first film Dev D, Zindagi na milegi dobara or my lately watched flick Shaitan!!! Kalki brings a certain intensity to a movie leaving behind an impact of her character on the audiences...
I am sure many of you wont be watching this flick....but one who understand what art cinema is all about and their understanding is much far from typical bollywoodish masala  should not waste time and go and watch this flick!!!

Ghazals....the fading art!

Ghazals...is my favorite form of music.I grew up listening ghazals as my mom and dad are big fan of ghazals,at that time I found it quite boring but as i grew up and started to understand the words it drew me far way from our bollywood or international songs.The fluidity in emotions and the depth of poetry can only be seen and justified in the Ghazals there is no other best way to describe your emotions.Bollywood once was ghazals based...but sadly now we have only munnis and sheilas to entertain us which is a total yuck!!!


Some people think that Ghazals are sad but it isn't...you have numbers of romantic one too ..which is far more ahead then our bollywood romance....even the feeling of longing and desire is well showed off only and only  in Ghazals...

The kite runner.

The kite runner....by Khaled Hosseini.As,a true lover of gulf stories(i still don't know why??),I always wanted this particular book on my shelf.Though I didn't get the opportunity to read it,I ended up watching its movie.And WoW,what a masterpiece it was.Marc Foster the director,has done an awesome job,I always preferred reading book before watching its movie,but my experiment to watch this flick first was not a waste.
Now coming to the movie,the story unfolds about friendship.loyalty,fear and relationships.Friendship between master and servant.loyalty between servant and master,fear of facing the truth and relation between parent and child.The story revolves around the very much happy Afghanistan,its culture and tradition,before the Russians entered into the picture.How people had to fled away from their very own country.And then journey of bleeding Afghanistan had no end from Russians to now Talibans.

I would really like everyone to watch this movie,and enjoy it to the fullest.

JUAREZ.......shocking and sadly true...!!!!

Last week I watched a wonderful movie named BORDERTOWN....and trust me the movie was shocking,disturbing and fearful......and above all it was worth watching.......

                                                           

The movie is about a place called Juarez,a border city across the Rio Grande from the U.S city of El-Paso,Texas.

The movie focused on  the hundreds of women working in American-owned factories who have been brutally raped and murdered in the city (Juarez) gripped by fear,the victims are generally reported missing,later finding their bodies in a vacant lot or buried in the desert area........The attacks have been covered up by the local authorities, and still continue today,what will you find is the corrupt system propagated by unfair labor system,with no police protection at all.....

After watching the movie I couldn't wait to tell everyone about the movie and the truth that it unfolds.

The sad part is this killing still takes place in Juarez.....I really wish every person should watch this movie and if nothing atleast pray to God,for what's happening.

For women is the precious gift from God,she's the mother that sustains the very breath of humanity...how can a man even think of killing her.....
